Suspilne
Rebrand
Client - Suspilne
Agency - Studio Hansa
Role - Art Direction / Animator / Modeling / Light & Texturing
I worked on the rebrand of Suspilne, Ukraine’s national public broadcaster that was commissioned by BBC Media Action.
At the heart of the visual system was the ‘lens’ - a symbol of focus, clarity and transparency. It became a clear metaphor for how Suspilne reflects the full spectrum of Ukrainian society.
My main focus was bringing the lens to life in 3D, carefully developing its glass material so that coloured caustics were cast, projecting the brand’s colours through light itself.
The 3D lens was composited into a series of real-world environments, allowing it to sit naturally within everyday settings and reflect the many facets of Ukrainian society.

As part of the wider rebrand, I worked on the visual language for Suspilne News, developing a series of 3D animations used as idents, cutaways and transitions.
The visual system used flowing orbs to represent the constant movement of information, with colours linked to Suspilne’s channels and regions.
